Mudpit602 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Here it is all done. Thank you all for your great comments and helpfull advise.
Krazy Rick Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Other than your paint needing a little LMG sanding/poishing.....Nice build !!! - Thanks
Scalper Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I have to agree I like the paint. but the tires. I think you need better ones on there. Its making the model look toy like,. and its far from being a toy with the detail you put on her.
Chuck Most Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I don't like the paint- I LOVE IT!!!! But, I do agree she'd be perfect with a better set of tires.
Harry P. Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I'm not sure what a "finched" Corvette is ( a bird got caught in the radiator, maybe??? )... but aside from that I think it looks pretty good, except for the paint being a bit rough. It's probably too late to polish the paint now that the model is all done, but keep it mind for the next one you build. Polishing the body after you paint it, but before you assemble the model, will give you a nice smooth, glossy finish and will take care of any irregularities like the orange peel you have in your Corvette's paint. You can use either a polishing kit made specifically for models, or "real car" compounds and polishes from the auto parts store.
Reeves Racing Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I am with Harry on this one. "Finched"? I am thinking you are referring to the color which is like a canary or finch yellow... or you misspelled Finished. Nice build with a unique color, same critique as the others, the wheels and tires take away from the build.
Mudpit602 Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Thank you for all your nice words and imput. I do have problems with paint. Ill try the polishing trick to see if that help me out, Thank you for looking.
