Bastardo Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 A great idea and I love the way it's comming up Mads: A stationwagon and a lowrider at the same time - as good as it gets
Plasticfanatic Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Very, very nice and interesting subject!! I love the look of these vintage station wagons. Your is taking shape great, will follow this interesting build updates.
Space Cowboy Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks guys for the comments...It's almost ready for primer... Hope to have it primered soon.....
RodneyBad Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Looking Sharp. I like how you lowered the rear Quarter panels. Roof is looking good.
CorvairJim Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 What a great look! Using the stock Coronet roof makes for a full-on custom look while preserving the Dodge look at the same time, sort of like a factory show car. I have a Corvair 2-door wagon in the works at the moment, using a scratchbuilt roof patterned after the 1964-67 Chevelle wagon roofline. I'm giving it Corvair convertible quarter windows behind the door glass to improve it's proportions. I'll see if I can shoot a few pictures and post them on here sometime soon. What do you have in mind for the back glass? I'll be using a frameless top hinged window as a hatch, in the style of a Volvo P1800ES
Space Cowboy Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Got it primered... Hope to have it painted soon................
Nitro Neil Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Love it. There's just something about longroofs that I really like.
Space Cowboy Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 Got it painted the color is Testors Dark Bronze with Krylon Almond for the roof.... Hope to have it foiled soon.............
Mike Kucaba Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 That turned out nice. I'm curious why you didn't strip the paint from the base model first though.
Space Cowboy Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 That turned out nice. I'm curious why you didn't strip the paint from the base model first though. Mike the paint that was on there was a very thin coat and I sanded the body before primer..
Space Cowboy Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Got the engine done............... More coming soon...............
