DRG Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) OK, I got the engine done, the distributor in all I need to do now is finish the plug wires. In this first photo you can see the interior colors I am going with. I also got the body stripped of that lousy paint job. I'm thinking of Marina Blue, it's close to a 62 factory color. Any thoughts or ideas??? Thanks for looking, all comments and suggestions are welcome. Edited February 20, 2011 by Donald Gardner
Rob Z Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I really like the way you did the seats and side panels... Looking good Don...
Space Cowboy Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Good job on the interior and i like the engine..
DRG Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 Well, I have got the body painted. The engine wired and some work done on the frame and undercarriage. I also picked up a 37 Ford and some Bare Metal Foi. Yes I'm going to try it. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome.

pepperdrumstix Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) Good job so far Don. You are going to have a nice Pontiac when you are done. One to be proud of. The engine looks real and I like the color you picked for the body. Are you going to use the 8 lug wheels or something else? Nice work on the interior. Going to have a 4 speed or auto tranny? Those big Super Duty Ponchos were fast and could beat almost anything else on the streets or strips back then.I will watch this build to see the fine product at the end. DRG Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 OK, I've got the interior done and thought posting pictures would actually be easier now rather then when it's in the car. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. I am really happy with the way this is coming together. Happy Modeling.
W-409 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Nice work with it. I like this body and your work looks very good. Engine is very nice, those wires give a great realistic look. That steering wheels needs some paint, now it doesn't look real. So maybe paint it how it is in real car, and leave those clear areas how they are right now. But nice job with it so far anyways!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Wow, I love the color and that interior, in particular that steering wheel, is fabulous. Great job so far, Don. Keep it going.
DRG Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 Well I got the BMF on it. Not to awful bad of a job I guess. She is almost done, the next pictures I post will be in Under Glass. Thanks for all the help guys, it was, and always is, appreciated. Comments and suggestions are welcome. There isn't much more to do but I'm done for to-day. Thanks for looking. Happy Modeling.
trogdor Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Glad to see you got your feet wet with BMF. I just started using it myself. I'm still a bit apprehensive about it but It will become second nature in time.
