Mercman Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Here's another build I am doing for a client. I have to turn this Danbury Mint model into a local livery of the company here in town. Here is a pick of the model before, and some reference pics that I received. The model will be like it is new, and not abandoned. Also here is the first color put on. This is Krylon Yellow3 coats over gray primer. Letting this dry for a couple more days, then will mask it off, and apply the green, also Krylon.
Tony T Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Love the Divco trucks! Danbury, you say? Will have to look for one!
parki Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Great project, looks like its gonna be very cool when finished!
Mercman Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Today I mask off the yellow, and proceed withe green. Hopefully all will go well with this.
Mercman Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 I shot the green, and ended up with some orange peeling in the paint. Today I checked it, and it cleared up, so I reshot it with a dark green primer, then reshot the green. Removed the masking tape, and got this. Have a few small areas that need to be touched up but I'm happy with it. Now to work on the lettering.
