"National racing colors of Estonia"

Recommended Posts

I am looking for national racing colors lists. Everything from way back in 1903, when national racing schemes were first introduced, to 1975 and the last national racing colors update with the FIA and A1GP colors.

I have found several lists but they do not say where or when they were from and they are incomplete and in some cases incorrect.

- this is a mixed list of FIA, A1GP, and several other lists.

http://forums.autosport.com/index.php?showtopic=53357 - FIA's final national colors update in 1975, scroll down to post #20

I know many countries are not listed and I have read countries were not assigned a FIA national color until you had a entrant in a International FIA race. Outside of that though many countries have official national racing colors if anyone knows of any list them up.

I was like "lol wtf" when I saw someone talking about Estonia in this forum B);)

But sorry that I cant help you, I dont know anything about these things.

I don't know why but it is one of my favorite lines from Top Gear. Honestly though just about every episode has some great one liners.

Here is a scan from the AIACR 1936 rule book (it's in french but it's fairly easy to figure out)

Hmm which line? (sorry for OT)

"National racing colors of Estonia" is a line Jeremy Clarkson says after he paints his Alfa Romeo a weird green color for a Alfa car show. The full line is "I'm just going to tell the judges it's the national racing colors of Estonia."

I believe that if you go to the official FIA website, and go to the archives you can find what your looking for.

I didn't find anything the archive only goes back to 1995 and FIA got rid of National colors in 1977 but their is a ton of really cool information in the archive it's a nice way to see a little bit of the inner workings of FIA.
