JustBill Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Was hoping someone would be able to help direct me in a direction. I was spending time with my grandfather this weekend who is pushing late eighties. We were looking through some old photos and there was one were he was waxing his new 78 Bonneville. So i was thinking as left for home I would like to build him one. So my question is have there ever been a kit produced or a resin body/conversion for this car? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! He's always been a car guy and loved to take car of his vehicles but as he gets older its harder for him to do so anymore. Before that he had a 74 LeManns which he traded for the Bonneville. If I can't get any where with the Bonneville is there anything available for the LeManns? Thanks again for any help!
montelsc Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You're in for a rather involved conversion in either case. The closest thing to the Bonneville would probably be the JoHan Caddy Coupe DeVille kits/promos from that era. For the LeMans the closest would likely be the JoHan '75 Cutlass. There is a resin '77 Can Am but that would be a very expensive place to start. hey bill iv been trying to get a 71 4dr grandville made for the longest time and nobody has any interest in making one so good luck on your quest let me know if you get one il buy one to
