Went to the big city today and got to visit one of my favourite model stores ;)

This is what I picked up:

I love Gundam models but they can be very expensive. This store always has a good deal B)

Lots of parts:

that will hopefully look like this once completed:

I'll post as construction starts

Not really. The Wacky Gundams are "one offs" or special units. This is a production model meaning mass produced. Think of the wacky units as concept cars and these as the production car. Plus these are ground units so they dont have the wings for flying around space.

So I couldn't just let this sit on my shelf so I decided to start the pre-building. I may stop once it is pre-built and not paint till most of my other projects are done.

Here is the progress so far:

Pre building complete. Now time to disassemble and fix any sprue connections, sand for better fitting parts, sand for paint, paint, decal and clear....

Not sure how fast the rest will be completed as I have lots of projects on the go. But pics will be up as I go.

Thanks for the info. I am not a Gundam person per-se, but I do have an old built-up that I did probably 10+ years ago.

Yours is looking good, and I will keep an eye on this build whenever I can spare it!

I too am not a "Gundam person" yet I do appreciate what it takes to build one of these. Keep it coming, I want to see what you do with this.

Chris, your Ez8 looks good so far. I've had my RX-78 NT-1 for about year and haven't even started it.

That is an earlier model isn't it? Before the Gundam line got all crazy-funky in design/wackiness.

Casey, later series(G Gundam, Gundam Wing, Turn A Gundam)after the UC series are pretty much one-off designs, the Ez8 was a Ground type Gundam that was rebuilt with spare Gundam and GM parts.
