imatt88 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Hey all, Had to put the Pontiacs away until I can afford to rechrome the bumpers, Anyway, here is my latest folly The workbench. Edsels galore My homemade ragtop. The convertible boot is out of my parts box, and looks too narrow to me, but its all I have to work with Test fitting the continental kit Test fitting the rear wheels for the Ranger. Had a little trouble aligning the rear axle. The rear wheels seemed to be too far forward, so I had to do some "adjusting" Anyway, thats it for now, Cheers, Ian
Guest Johnny Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Is it going to be red??? There was one here in town that an old guy had bought new! It was in the middle of town in a piece of left over barn from back when people still had horses! It was around 1975 and I was helping my father-in-law paint the guys house. He had plastic sheeting over the rafters and draped all around the car to keep the dust and weather off it! I thought it was one of the most beautiful cars I had ever seen! Even got to take the wife for a drive in it once. He passed away a few years later and his grandson wound up selling it to someone in Germany!
imatt88 Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Probably not red, not sure what color it is going to be yet Haven't got that far yet Cool story, shame the car had to go to overseas, and not someone local Cheers, Ian

imatt88 Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 Charlie, Be patient, I have trouble with follow up posts. I'll do my best, though Mike, I was thinking about one of those funky, late '50's pastel colors, maybe a coral/white combo, or something along those lines This, or maybe this, but I'm not sure what the dark accent color is, a dark reddish sort of color..? Cheers, Ian
