We got home from Cpl. Taylor's memorial service a little while ago. It was an emotional experience but not as well attended as I thought it would be. Maybe 250 people. Some of the Marines who served with Cpl Taylor attended (on their own dime) and told everyone what a good Marine Taylor was. A Marine major presented the Purple Heart to Mom & Dad Taylor. Cpl Taylor will buried in Arlington on March 15, 2011.

The sheriff's department provided a helicopter flyover and flew "The Missin Man" formation.

There were no protesters. Only Americans showing their respect for a Fallen Hero.

ive always had a great respect for those men and women who are willing to do what i am not and thereby give me the freedom not to have to do it.

as a christian i am deeply ashamed of those who would dishonor the home coming of these young men and women

the descriptions of those present to pay thier respects to this soldier are heartwarming but pale im comparision to the words found in luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom.
