jsimmons Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I even did some kit bashing: Bob Glidden's 1987 Pro-Stock T-Bird (Revell, 1/24, using hubcaps from 1987 Turbo Coupe) 1965 Mustang fastback body on T-bird Pro-Stock chassis And finally the rest: Ford-powered Indy Car (Monogram, 1/24) 1964 Thunderbolt Fairlane (Revell, 1/25) 427 Race-Prepared Cobra (Monogram, 1/24, Nascar tires on back, shave kit back tires on front)
jeffs396 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Welcome to the site John!!! From the looks of it, you do great work! Those builds look like 1:1s!
Railfreak78 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Welcome and nice rides! I have that T-bird and you really make me want to tear into it! Nice work on all those.
jsimmons Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Nice work, got anymore pics of the 65 Mustang? I still have the model on display at home, so I can take more. It was my first kit bash, so it's a little rough. After doing it, I wasn't happy about the fact that I had painted the chassis blue. I might try to do it again. I'll take some more pics sometime this week.
jsimmons Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Welcome and nice rides! I have that T-bird and you really make me want to tear into it! Nice work on all those. The kit is getting expenbsive on EBay. I just snagged one for $22, but they typically go for as much as $40. The one I got is going to serve as a template for homemade chassis for other models. What I really need is an endless supply of the wheels/tires/motor that come in the kit.
Reeves Racing Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 That Mustang is cool. I have Gliddens T-Bird on my shelf as well. Now I'm going to have to do a copy of that Mustang of yours. Very cool. I may have to redo a ProStock 2000 Mustang I did and make it the Motorcraft livery.
brett Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Love the mustang, i only have the blue and white tbird
Raul_Perez Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 The Mustang is my favorite, too!! Nice work on all of them!! Thanks for sharing,
