clayton Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Started the trailer around Thanksgiving/Christmas.The trailer is 90 too 95% scratch built from flat sheet. Some what based on the Pitts trailers used around here in the South East(States). The truck is the Revell KW(Aussy KW). Started it abut 4 years ago and it has been boxed up ever since until today. Paint is Dupli Color Grabber Green, hunter green and yellow? Cab guard from bug screen and flat sheet. Since the photos I added the center axle. Well what do ya think?
Jim B Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I like it. I remeember plenty of those from my time in Lounsiana. We used to say that you hadn't been in Louisiana very long if you didn't have a cracked windshield or a broken headlight due to a logging truck!
highway Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I like it Clayton, it's turning out nicely. I've been throwing around the idea of scratchbuilding my own trailer like the ones on "American Loggers" that they started building in their shop. Maybe even do one of their big doubles set!
clayton Posted March 21, 2011 Author Posted March 21, 2011 Thanks! Guess you can say I been working on the trailer for a year or so.UN box it look at it and box it up gain. started off going one way got side tracked and ended up with this. That would be a fun build, start with the W/Star, from what I see some of there trucks have large hub's on the drivers that would be the hard part then trying to find a close color. As I can see using the flatbed would work for a base.
