Evil Appetite Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I just picked this kit up today at Hobby Depot, and noticed elements of a Pro Street kit. SHort rear axle and deep wheel backs. Was this ever released as a PS kit? --- Mike
george 53 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Mike, those parts were included from the Pro Stock release of that kit. They're the same parts that came in the 70 Super B Pro street kit. :D
Erik Smith Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Still has the extra hemi engine too - not mentioned on box, nice thing about parts pictured on bottom of box!
diymirage Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 for shizzle ? id love to see a boxart of this kit (pretty sure i can imagine a car on a grex background with a blue banner with the name on it...seems to be the R2 way but still) i just might have to get me one or two of these maybe even a pic orso ?

I think half of their employees back then took the job thinking they would be working with the other, more "leggy" type of models. Edited March 22, 2011 by Jon Cole
diymirage Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 The first release of the '69 GTX hardtop was Pro Street only. I'm positive of that because I had to buy both the GTX and a '68 Road Runner kit [for stock chassis] to build a model of the car my brother in law owned at the time. Later releases of those kits had a lot of the Pro Street parts still in the kits. you should have just gona and tubbed the 1:1 car
Evil Appetite Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Excellent..thanks for the replies guys! ---Mike
