semijoe Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 hey thnx guys!! its not much a update, but i did get a chance to paint the rims. tomorrow, i have a full day to work on her ;D i started on the cab today drawing up where everything goes there a panel under the bumper. its hard to tell if its hinge or not. so im going with screw on panel door.ive also added the rivets/screws started on the front bumper i found a perfect match for the light buckets and lights the bumper is 236mm wide x 26mm high x 28mm deep
semijoe Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) im still working on the front bumper. theres a lot of stuff thats involve in making this function ive decided to make a working bumper mounted water cannon. it will turn l/r but not up/down i needed to make a compartment that was accessible also install pull ring and fog lights Edited April 1, 2011 by semijoe

semijoe Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 had to add my plate to it. also added some kind of outlet box. not sure what its for.waiting on more pull rings to come in a guy from the forums works with these trucks. he sent alot of pictures :celebrat: the front panel under the bumper has a hose and reel in it. i m going to put one in it. it will be static. but an excellent thought for the next truck so here picture of before heres where i cut it out. not its time to make it
semijoe Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 ive added the compartment behind the panel, along with a reel and hose for now the face plate and bumper is done still alot more to do but the basics is all done tomorrow i will get started on the sides of the cab hey hey my tank came in. i had to go with a lot bigger tank. the one i had didnt hold much water this tank is a cook pan. lol 8x8x3 inches. it holds 110 oz. which is just under a gallon all i have to do is drill and tap a hole at the bottom and put a seal top on it

LR3 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Really wonderful build sequence pictures. With those pictures you should maybe post your plan drawings. I get the feeling others may want to try build something like this. It will make an outstanding display model even without the working water hose, etc.
Mike Kucaba Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 WOW !!! I need a cigarette LOL Superb modelmaking.
