BIGTRUCK Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Builder blues over?...I hope so, opened up over 20 kits before a few ideas hit...been 6 or so weeks I didnt feel like building anything...this is just an early mock-up but I'm kinda pumped since finding this wheel set up and P/E wing....this is a full detail kit not a curbside, so it should make a nice 'Tuner' style build
MonoPed Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Not a fan of the tuner wings, but I love the wheels - gonna look real nice!!
George Christy Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Looks great the way it is and I like the color on it George Christy
Tonioseven Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Looks great the way it is and I like the color on it George ChristyThat's the bare plastic; this should be a good project! 8)
mannyclub Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 That will be cool when its finished, love the rim choice! Manny
ismaelg Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Ken!! Glad to see you back! You have a great taste on wheels  I have a set of those exact same wheels. I plan on using them in the F430. Thanks,
BIGTRUCK Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Got a small amount done on the rear chassis area and decided on some light weathering on a daily driver. The original choice of wheels for this one are a pain to fit in because of the arm and shaft assembly on the drive line, its not impossible but more work then I want to get involved in right now.Picked the low spots out with ''black detailer'' and dusted with some chalk accents...
ismaelg Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Ken!!! Welcome back!!!!! Good job on the underside. I love detailing the underside of cars.
crispy Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Look forward to that Supra Ken! Those Aoshima Kranze LXZ's look great, but I definitely understand the difficulty. It can make or break your build progress. Chris
BIGTRUCK Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Thanks guys....really feels good to get building again. I did find some wheels that fit pretty good, went thru some kits and found these in a Honda S2000 Tamiya kit. The kit came with 2 sets of wheels [silver and gold]....and the Supra tires fit right on the wheels...Ismael I remember earlier this year when you gave up on building cars , its a crummy feeling not wanting to build.....glad thats over
BIGTRUCK Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 I went with black and gray on the colors..the hood will be Scale motorsports carbon fiber black on bronze . I never did a large area with this stuff , so I hope it works...building this P/E rear wing is a slow process with numerous small pieces...and will be black and carbon fiber also...
