Well folks it's back to work on the '55 Ford..........I'm near the point when I'll be working on the interior. One hangup I've run into is what color was the interior for a Snowshoe White/Regency Purple exterior?

I have combed the 'net lookin for pics of '55's in this color but apparently it looks as though that was a quite rare color and pics are as hard to find as hens teeth. :(

Anybody have any idea what color the interior would have been?? Was the interior color keyed to the exterior? Did folks buy a car with a purple interior in 1955? :D

Any suggestions or pics would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for the pics Bobby!

The yelllow and black one gives me some ideas. I have it on good authority at our NNL today (a real Ford nut) that Fords painted Purple/White had black and white interiors. At least in the regular Victoria line.

Seems as though in the Crown Victoria you could indeed get a purple and white interior. Maybe because the Crown Vic was the flashiest of the whole Ford line back then that Ford offered this in that wild color!

Thanks again!

Where was that yellow & black one photographed Wildrice? I know I have seen it, (even down to the color keyed fuzzy dice), but can't recall for sure where... - Mark

www.sunbeltcars.com is where I found the pic. Never been there but I thought it might help out with the color question.
