Dr. Cranky Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Cleaning a storage closet yesterday, I came across this build from back when the Rat Rod craze started . . . and I recall I went fishing one day and got a hook stuck the meat of my thumb, and then lightning struck . . . a fish hook to double as a bee stinger, and the rest of the build fell into place from there . . .
DRG Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Actually we had seven inches of rain in April so I guess that means I don't live in a dry county. Oh, wait a minute, that's not what you meant.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 I've been laughing at the size of the gas tank which I made out of a cigar tube and it's so out of scale, it's hilarious, unless you start thinking of living in the middle of Texas in a dry county (is there such a thing in Texas?) and you have to drive 800 miles to quench your thirst! LOL.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Thanks, Dan, I just noticed that the bucket I had used came from Ozark Miniatures and somehow I must have dunked it in etching solution because that frothy, furry look on it actually looks like a frozen bucket, which luck would have it, fits the build . . . but it's one of those accidents.

Dr. Cranky Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 LOL, I just realized why I had put "Honey" on the tank . . . it's not a gas tank, but a huge keg! Ha!
