Dr. Cranky Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Jose, yes, I gotta see those movies again . . . but that's the idea . . . Egyptian mummies, scorpions, hiroglyphs . . . etc . . .

Dr. Cranky Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 LOL! I wish I had spare parts from this kit. The kit itself is about 49 bucks over at the GAMES WORKSHOP. And I used every little bit I could get my hands on! You can find it cheaper on Amazon.
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I REALLY dont know what to say I CAN tell you this though, I cant wait to see what else is going on in your head for this. Especially with the interior and whatever you choose to do with the colors. And god only knows what other details on the exterior you have in mind. You blew me away with the headlights I really wasnt expecting that I think its awesome. And I really like the ones you bent over the rear fenders thats slick. Keeper going!!! Ron
Tony T Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Wow, Doc...that really is something! Can't wait to see the paint fly on this one! I'm stayin' tuned in!
Ryan S. Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 This one will be another knock-out, Doc! Can't wait to see it come together with some color. I really dig Egyptian stuff!
Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 THANKS, and yes, I hope to be making progress on this thing, but I have to tell you I am dreading all the detail brush painting waiting for me.
Dave Ambrose Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I'm not thrilled with the look of the stock wheels. Chariot wheels were either solid or more akin to a 19th century wagon wheel. I think I'd go solid, but tint the chrome with something contrasting. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will look awesome. It's a good thing that building even a mediocre model is fun. Otherwise I've hung up my files and tweezers years ago.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 Dave, after years of building, that's all there is left: FUN! Why else do it, right?
