Jim B Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I usually put decals on before I clear coat (if I clear coat). And to ass small stuff to the cab I usually use Gator's Grip Hobby Glue or two part epoxy.

Jim B Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 You have a work in progress? Well, we definately need to see pics! Well, it depends on the "look" I want. The gloss clear coat can make the truck really shiney. Sometimes too shiney for my tastes. Usually I use Dupli-Color Glear Gloss. Works quite well. Sometimes I get lazey & don't do any clear coat. Should I clear coat over decals? Yes, probably, but I just didn't feel like it this time with my Mack. I'm sure I'll pay for that later!
skulls Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Also when it comes to decals I find if you are looking for the "sticker" look put the decals on overtop of the clearcoat, but if you want them to blend and look like they are almost "painted" on then clear overtop of the decals. I actually learned that from the asian guy you see on youtube all the time he did the Italeri 377 peterbilt and did an amazing job.
