Bowtienutz Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 I swapped the flathead from the Revell 40 Ford. I'm looking for some parts. I want some steel wheels with little trim rings , baby moons and for tires I'm looking for some piecrust wide wall slicks and wide whites for the front. can someone point me to what kits to plfer? I normally don't buildold style street rods I'm out of my realm. Thanks Vince
Tom Kren Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Vince try the rims in the rat rod kits from Revell also for the tires try Modelhas Don has all kinds of white walls!
Matt T. Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Vince, get one of the Revell "Rat Rod" kits, like Tom mentioned. They have 16" '40 Ford steel wheels with nice trim rings & caps. For the slicks, try the Revell '64 T-bolt kit, since the rear wheels in that kit are 16" also. It has blackwall slicks you can paint whitewalls on, or leave as-is. And if you want a deeper steel wheel than the Rat Rod offering, the T-bolt comes with that option too. Post some progress pics when you can!
Bowtienutz Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 I now have a few options to look into. I also want to look into the monogram litle coffin for the tires. I;ll hopefully get some time to hunt down someof your ideas this weekend. Vince
