hOLMS Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Hi all, This is project #2 on the bench. This was a 2001 Rolex 24hr C5-R Vette that I almost had finished back in 2003 or so as it raced in Daytona, but with a different paint job. I could not find decals for one side, so it stayed in the closet for 7 years. Finally decided last year to chop it up to experiment with a Pro Mod build. Body has been lengthened in middle and front for proportions, wedged by adding new sides, lowered tops of front fenderwells and new hood. I've also made a scratchbuilt brass and copper soldered chassis. This one is on the backburner until I'm further along with my 69 Chevelle, think I may make these team cars. I do know two of my next moves for this one: 1) Shorten the length of top 2)Raise existing body bulges over tops of rear tires. Thanks for looking.
roush16 Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 That is amazing. Your metal work is impressive. Thats more than a just building a model. I feel like a complete beginner after seeing that, lol. Keep the updates coming!
torinobradley Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 That is so impressive that I'm gonna pack all my toys up, go home and sulk...
