  1. We'll, I found your next one, this will be cool as is the Malibu.
  2. Very nice work, that is sweet!! Can't wait too see what you build next.
  3. Hello all...been a while yet again, last post on this one almost a year ago, was waiting on the white primer to dry, LOL. Anyways, finally shot some color to this, Sun Yellow, first time I've painted in color in at least 6 years. It's not perfect, some slight blemishes here and there, will touch up a bit. I will probably be adding some stripes after this cures for couple weeks. Thanks for looking in.
  4. Hello all, been a while yet again, still having fun with this project. Couple updates been working on over past couple weeks. Front window cutout complete fender flaring front and rear close to finished, they bulge out in fronts and curl under in rears for that aero look side window cutouts evened out, made template from one side and matched other side raised up rear quarters behind the rear meats, think it looks better that way spent a full week off and on smoothing the inside of body, still a little more to go working on a rear spoiler, machining my new wheels and adding the flaring around bottom of body to smooth out for that molded look Also, I've started checking around for casting, hope that works out, i know nothing about resin. As always, thanks so much for looking and I will at least finish this body one day...hopefully! hOLMS
  5. Thanks for the comments, great motivation. Few updates for different areas of the design, moving right...hope to make good progress on the next couple weeks. Last pic shows some of different stages of the build. Thanks for checking in!
  6. Awesome Darryl, think it's so cool to be building a replica of your own ride, very nice!
  7. Absolutely legendary work Chris, keep on rockin my friend! Truly amazing from a to z, I think that covers it!
  8. This is a great kit, like your version...have one stashed somewhere!
  9. I like it, one cool Vette right there...looks great!
  10. Hi all, thanks for the comments and I do hope to cast this one day. Couple updates, been putting in some pretty good time on these mods, hope to finish this year. Enjoy and thanks for looking.
  11. Looking great James, good work.....liking this a lot!
  12. Good luck with your build, I may be starting a 55 soon and interested in which way you go with it.
  13. Made pretty good progress so far this week, including making it back to a good primer coat, she's pretty slick....needs some filling/smoothing here and there, but I think the shape is pretty close, at least for now. Next steps are checking heights and reference points, finishing passenger side window opening, front window opening, fender/sideskirt flaring, hood work and trim work. She's probably going to painted like a stk 69! Rear window cutout has been made, still need to square it up and check reference points to verify its symmetrical and correctly oriented. Pulled the bottom of the A-Pillars back a bit, I liked the previous long roofline for about....hmmm, 2 day tops. I do agree the 69 Chevelle flavor lost a bit there, tried to bring it back a little. Completed some more fine-tuning on the slope of the hood, not sure if its too noticeable, the elbow grease involved told me otherise...lol I did start this as a project to retain the looks of the original while making it somewhat beast. The more and more new pro mods I'm seeing finally convinced me to give it a go with a ride that could be considered right there in the running with the new stuff. I'm not quite there with this one yet, but sincerely hope to be one day because I have channeled, chopped, sectioned, tapered and even start over quite a few times. Anyways, I totally respect the originals and love them all, wish I had a stock 69 Chevelle in my driveway right now! That being said, I like the new as well....pro mod, pro stock, I'll just say I like all race cars, no matter what they are. Couple pics, last one thrown in for start and current....as always, I appreciate the comments. I enjoy sharing my work with all of you and glad to be here. I talk too much, too late at night I might add!
  14. Hi all...been at it pretty good when possible, work has slowed a tiny bit. Let's see, several big items I've been working on....most visibly the top which gave me a totally different feel for the body. After reviewing the lengthened profile over and over, I felt a lower, stretched out top may be better suited for this. First was the chop, I'm not sure how much I lowered, at least 1/8". Brand new A-Pillars have been made and extended app 3/16" where they meet the hood along with a new shape for drivers-side window opening....I have not got around to passenger side yet. I have reworked the frt and rear wheel wells, they are close but will need more trimming for flaring inside and out. Currently I am rebuilding the rear window cutout and shaping the blend into the flares that raise/taper upward on top of rear fenders. I will be reworking all window openings, close to halfway done on that process. Not much different about the nose, though I have started some faint hood work, unsure about the direction thats headed in. Its a totally different beast now, gotta go wild to hang with the current p/m designs. I like them all, just enjoying pushing my limits....whether it works or not, it has still been a great 2 year journey to this point. Thanks for looking in!!
  15. Some updates for this week. I included one shot that shows the 4 stages of development so far. The last one compares newest update to previous update. 1 - New grill and nose area, still very rough, much to do to finish this off 2 - Change up the hood, still undecided what I will do to finish that, probably extend a lot close to front of nose. Next, frt and rear fenderwells are not right, they need some attn. Then, some flaring here and there. We'll see where this part of the journey leads. Thanks for commenting and looking in, means a lot to me!
  16. Eric, this is awesome.....agreed, the stance is spot-on. You thought about black wheels with chrome inners and some black stripes somewhere/anywhere?
  17. I'd love to build it...that being said, everytime I start something, takes at least....hmmmm, 5 years it seems. (just to get halfway). Seriously, i've thought of one of my current projects seriously blacked out like this, think it would be cool.
  18. Andy, this is bad to the bone my friend!!
  19. Well, little bit of filling/smoothing here and there and the body is close to being wrapped up. I'm trying some white primer for the first time because I cannot find my favorite gray T235 around here anymore. I'll let that primer dry up real good before finishing the bodywork. I've got to fit up some windows and figure out what to do about the motor, I'm wanting to do a turbo....we'll see if time permits. I'm kinda thinking red or orange paint on this one, have even thought of plain ole white with black stripes! As always, thanks for looking in and commenting!
  20. Oh yeah, I vote for the 10.5 turbo too. I'm sure you'll hit a grand slam with it either way you go.
