  1. tubbs.....wow, pretty good @ the mind-reading thing......i had 3 schemes in mind: 1)orange w/black stripes 2)black w/orange stripes or 3)yellow w/ black stripes. I've tried the yellow already and it is sweeeet, but i've seen the other 2 schemes up close at events and they are just as cool. I should be posting sum wip pix 2morro maybe. Thanks for looking.... ps...i'm bouncing the idea around of scratching a not-so-obvious air-dam for the front to blend the bumper lines to the body better....just to make the lines between the two flow. I don't want to get away from the stock look with this one. Also, i can't find my windows, i'll have to scratch them too.
  2. Screaming hot!!! This WIP 5th gen is so far, so great... ps.....found this info in May this year, so this may be old news to you (since your name is camarobuilder).......apparently (and much anticipated for many) this body style has been in the design phase for the 2011 NHRA pro-stockers, below is the link. Have not seen any updates since then. They need this body style doing at least 210mph in the 1320!!! http://www.competiti...o-stock-in-2011
  3. Hello All........Taking a break from the 2001 Corvette Pro-Mod to finally start this one and been waiting a while to do so, Novas & Chevelles are 2 of my fav's and this body has been staring at me for 2 yrs now begging to be "a monster on the shelf". Stock body smoothed to resemble fiberglass, full tubular chassis and most parts from the STP Firebird Pro Stock. Mock-up almost complete, should be painting b4 long. Thanks.....hOLMS..
  4. some of the best details i've seen....very impressive, you have my vote!!
  5. Like it??.....How 'bout love it!! That is sweet....great build.
  6. Yep.....egg all in the face, just seen the pinned article about the images.....Thanks whoever!!!!! hOLMS
  7. How do I post pix without using a file format such as jpeg,bmp,png,etc.....? This takes up the file limits and I have to remove the attachments when posting updates of WIP's or posting new models. I see almost everyone with images in their post and they are there with no attachments involved. This would be very helpful as I've tried several different methods so far w/no luck, please share some luv! thanks....hOLMS
  8. Hello all.....Updated pix of the chassis for my vette. Maybe this week or next, I can hang the suspension. Thanks for looking. hOLMS
  9. Wow.....I think this is one of the best. Beautiful paint, exceptional craftsmanship thru and thru, great job. It's quite obvious the pride you take in our hobby.
  10. Please post pix, always good to see other peoples builds, especially in brass...... ps....I went to the four-wide nationals (qualifying) on Mar 27 in Charlotte NC.......Absolutely amazing to see/feel 32,000hp disturb the time and space around me, I really don't know how else to describe. Never experienced any kind of racing like that before. I hope to post new vette pix soon, been chassis-working pretty steady over the last week. hOLMS
  11. thx Brett. Agreed, pix are blurry...been working on that. This is my 2nd brass chassis, they are little bit heavy but strong. I'm thinking of maybe machining a few of the parts for the rear weldment. Hopefully I'll reach the building phase for the rear and turn into a rolling frame in a couple weeks. I'm anxious to get the wheels mounted. Below are some clearer pix. hOLMS
  12. That is a cool body, chassis work looking great, will watch....out of curiosity, what's the wheelbase? hOLMS
  13. long live the vette....nice stance, clean, like the color. Good job! hOLMS
  14. I've started the chassis...materials of choice are brass and copper, will use brass sheet on inner structural panels- plastic sheet on non-structural panels. Thanks for viewing, hOLMS
  15. I think so...I really like that look on a pro-mod drag car with a 114"-115" wheelbase. I've never done a blown engine before, i think i have most of my research and ref pix for this setup. I'll need to scratchbuild my hood. Thanks for looking. hOMLS
  16. Absolutely awsum!!! Man, you have some more skills....great work. Can i ask how you get all those pictures in their. When i attach images, i only have 1.95mb to work with....which is 2 images max??? hOLMS
  17. Dude, I looked at this car earlier today....sweeet. Love the paint and the stance, very cool!! hOLMS
  18. Thanks. I'll keep posted.
  19. This is my Vette I started about a week ago. It was already built and I was looking for a pro-mod subject to start, why not?? So far I've added a scale 5" to the front and 6.25" to the rear. I've also reworked the front, sides and front fenderwells. Hopefully, I can start some chassis work very soon as I'm excited to see where this one goes. Thanks for looking and everyone, please keep up the great work!!! hOLMS
