  1. Top-notch building on the motor, that looks great!!
  2. Way to go Rom. In making room for your tires, you've managed to add your own style that will be different from any other...that my friend, is just plain cool and what a personal touch is all about. Luv that bodywork, and of course all the rest. I'm almost beside myself waiting for the paint. Seriously, should be incredible.
  3. Thanks for looking guys, few more update pix of progress...moving right along, this is fun! New primer coat not too far away. I was planning on getting back to the Chevelle after finishing this body...I need to check the fit between this body and my brass chassis I built for the 2001 vette, may steel for this one if I think it will work? We'll see, included a pic of that chassis also. Started front inner wheelwell lips for flaring and trimming...used .020" thk, .125" wide strip Inner frt lips smoothed and flared Roughed in new "A" pillar...cut and formed from .030" thk sheet Mini-collection of build stages... Possible chassis for this one??
  4. Thanks for the comments guys, glad your enjoying this process. I've been slinging a little more putty and smoothing over some plastic, I really enjoy doing this kinda stuff. Thanks for looking. More frt bumper work and hood start... More body smoothing, almost becoming slick, good bit more to go... Frt bumper smoothing, little bit more shaping and smoothing to go, shouldn't take a lot more to finish this. Then I will make the rears.
  5. Thanks for the comments....few small updates, thought I would share. Cheers!! Filler smoothed and front bumper started... Frt bumper filled and shaping started... First primer coat, let the smoothing begin...
  6. Agreed, X10...quickly becoming my fav of yours. Gonna be one mean, mean ride!!
  7. Hey all, not a lot of progress last 2 days, but some...couple things done that were a must. Some areas have been smoothed over, like the rear bumper mounts and the side vents filled and smoothed. Also, added plastic to area where I added front extension and smoothed over. Threw some putty on it and will smooth over some more. Next is to finish fenderwells, make some cool bumpers and make small details for frt air dam and side skirting. Thanks for looking. Tyrone, Raul and Richard...thanks for the comments. John, thanks man...means a lot coming from the true master!!
  8. Man o man, every time I look at this one...I smile. Such a treat, thanks for your detailed thread. Enjoying your art!!
  9. Oh yeah.....Looking sharp, I can envision a smooth body with paint and incredible detail, can't u?? Keep it up.
  10. Hey Paul, got any more pix or updates? Anxious to see...
  11. I'm with the Dr.... Outstanding, every last one!!!
  12. Rom....most outstanding, running out of words. I"ll google some new ones. Great job man!!
  13. Thanks for the comments guys....John, usually I work with the Squadron green putty, hardens well overnight. I do have some automotive filler I use sometimes. I use all kinds of sanding sticks, files and different grit sandpaper depending on what needs to be done, roughing or finishing. Hope that helps. Posting couple updated pix. First shot shows .25 wide filler glued in widening the body. Second shot shows reshaped front wheel openings, front and rear are only roughed in for now. Third is B4 and aft. Thanks for looking!!
  14. Yep, still my fav on the site. This is great Chris. Everything is coming together.
  15. Shots of mockup before widening.....will be a different animal once widened.
  16. Hi all...this one is addictive, loving this body and the lines, lending itself well to these mods....I think. Gotta few updates and I plan to spend a good portion of the day playing around with this ProVette. Thanks for looking. Front air-dam roughed in... Marked for splitting, body to be a scale 74" wide in rear and a scale 72" wide in front....this requires widening by .230"... Body split into Smoothed inside of body while apart (lot easier to do the rough removal of old body while apart), still more to go once back together...
  17. Great work Tyrone...been following and sure has been a treat!!
  18. Welcome Paul...looking great on the body mods, nice clean work so far.
  19. Thanks for the comments guys, I've had the opportunity to work on this most of the day (which is rare...lol). Things are shaping up a bit, hoping to move quick in these early stages! More progress pix...thanks for looking. Nose extended .420 and new rear wheel openings cut and formed from .030 sheet New rear openings in place Side-skirt templates cut and positioned for placement New side skirts from .030 sheet cut and placed
  20. Thanks for the interest guys, just trying one that's not-so-popular, hoping to make it look believable. Thanks for the pic Dave, awesome ride. First pic is a very recent vette that I hope to incorporate styling cues from.....like stance and length mostly. When I ran across this shot, that was enough motivation for me. I have extended the rear 1/4" in middle of fenderwells, working now to reshape the openings, using cut index cards as templates. Next step, extend the front .400" and establish the wheelbase, more updates soon. Thanks for looking!!
  21. Hello all.. Starting a new pro mod body, we'll see where it ends up. Posting some pix of the start. So far I've positioned the top (chopped around .080") and smoothed the rear fender flares, will be extending the rear .250". The nose will be stretched around .400" or so. Should be a fun subject, think I've seen a recent photo of one and didn't much like it. This one will be a body experiment only, unless I can fit to an almost done brass chassis I've made. Thanks for looking!
  22. Hi all...Finally starting back up again this week on the chassis. Made some more progress on the firewall, structural panels and 4-link brackets. Hope to have some more progress soon. Thanks for looking!!
  23. Outstanding work and creativity on this one. I, as others, will enjoy the journey and cannot wait to see it finished. Good luck!
  24. Chris...I'm in awe!! Wonderful work from scratch to fit to finish. Love the 3D'ing. All looks great.
  25. Knockin this one out of the park, ehh! Great job, most awesome. Anxious to see how you blend to hood scoop, should look great.
