JTRACING Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I don’t normally build planes, but I need a break from cars so I picked up this kit. Its Tamiya's 1/72 scale P-47D Thunderbolt I know its not a car, but I used the weathering skills I learned from my car models to make it... just goes to show how you can use the same techniques on any kind of model heres the cockpit next to a nickle so you can see the kinda size it is
bsoder Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Another fine example of your excellent skills James..I'm assuming you hand painted that great nose art
Dragon7665 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Longtime Razorback fan, Great job on the Ol' Girl 8)
ramonesblues Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 The first model I ever built was a P47D. I was 6 yrs old(54 yrs ago). It didn't look anything like yours!. Hopefully my skills have improved a little bit since then.
