sjordan2 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu3b_EvvMDo&feature=relmfu A little behind the scenes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msIelWLTo9Q
Alyn Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I didn't click on the YouTube link, but having seen the commercial, I hate to think of the idiots that are going to go out on the salt flats and do doughnuts after seeing this. This is the second such commercial in recent times that flaunts reckless behavior on this fragile area. The salt flats is an awesome back drop to photograph a car, especially competition or period hot rods, but presenting it in this way is sick and irresponsible/ The salt layer is getting thinner every year. Over the last several years the Save The Salt group has invested considerable effort (and money) trying to do just that; save the salt. Considering the history and unique nature of the Bonneville Salt Flats, it should be protected as a state or national park My blood boils every time I see this or similar commercials.
