Junkman Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I'm sad to have to tell you that my long time friend Stefan Elsässer died on Wednesday. Stefan was an avid car modeller and kit collector and he ran his own model kit business for years in the Stuttgart area. He was one of the few who dealt with vintage American kits in Europe and started this well before the Internet age. He then moved on to work in the toy industry and held various positions in this business. Stefan was a cornerstone and a stronghold of the European modelling scene and he leaves a gap which is unlikely to be closed. He died suddenly last Wednesday, aged only 51. Stefan was a scholar, and a gentleman. He was my friend for three decades. Rest In Peace, Stefan Elsässer.
