daytonadude Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Just startin to do model cars, have a badger airbrush and a cambell compressor. Will update to a better pic later. Any advice on things that will make things a little bit easier will be appreciated Thanks, Trey
DRG Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 From the looks of the model you posted you have everything you need. I have found that a good, quiet place to work, an organized workbench, all the files, knifes, glues and putty's pretty much do it. Of course then there's the drills, pin vises, dremel tool and bits.
daytonadude Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Thanks, I really enjoy the hobby even though ive just started. It is quite a thrill to me to see the accomplishments of hard work. I will try to keep posts of my upcoming models. As I do hope to show progress in time. Thanks once again
daytonadude Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Does anybody know of some good online hobby shops. I don't want to get burned on some unknown internet dealer. Any suggestions gladly appreciated
BOSWELL891 Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Does anybody know of some good online hobby shops. I don't want to get burned on some unknown internet dealer. Any suggestions gladly appreciated I ve ordered from tower hobbies before and they are a really good site
charlie8575 Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Nice work for the first-time out. For Internet retailers, I like Model Roundup. I also know people have dealt with Dean's and several other places. The good shops tend to be the ones that stay around for a while. If possible, go with your local shop so you can see and feel the product, I find it makes a difference, and supporting a good local hobby shop helps keep the hobby healthy. Welcome to the board.
