My local Hobby Lobby had the Coca-Cola stakebed version on clearance today, just wondering if anyone knows about the contents of these, compared to the old AMT boxed ones...the same?

Hate to pass it up for $10, but if it doesn't have the regular bed & other old issue parts I remember so fondly as a kid, then I'll pass :)

Thanks in advance for any info!

if the lindberg dodge A-100 (little red wagon) coca cola repop is a hint, then yes

that kit has all the parts (minus the decal sheet) to make the little redwagon INCLUDING the 392 firedome hemi with hilborn injection and subframe

(i have one waiting to be build into a one off ground up ride)

also, check the bottom of the box, a lot of the repops have drawings of the trees on there :)

It doesn't look like any of the wrecker equipment is included, either.

Oh, no, it's there- the boom is visible just above the stake sides, the legs for it are on the same sprue as the stake sides, and the crank is just between the chassis and firewall. The hook and taillamps for the boom are on the chrome sprue. Weird how they scattered the parts for it in so many places, but that's how they did it!

One more little aside- previous issues had the Goodyear slicks, those are absent from this issue, only the stock Armstrongs are included. Here's a mid 90's issue for comparison. The earlier '90's issues, IIRC, had no stake bed and a tuck and roll pattern on the tonneau cover. Later ones like shown in the link had twin 'blade' spoke billet wheels, and the tonneau engraving was changed to a vinyl snap texture.

Heck Chuck, I thought the way that pic looked the boom was just a REALLY thick piece of sprue holding the stake sides!! WHOOPS!!!:lol::lol:
