Hood Latches

I'm new to the forum.. but i figured i would add something helpful. If someone uses these please post along with pics and comments about functionality.

I've got that issue in my mag stash and as I don't remember seeing the article, thanks for pointing it out.

I did try something like what Jairus drew years ago on my stillborn '64 GTO, and they did work as described.

Here's a few pics of what I did with it...............

The hinges I did were the scissor type like the 1:1......but they didn't hold up due to the softness of the brass. If I were doing this car again today (or if I ever decide to rebuild it), I would make the hood removable in some sense, and still have the hinges intact.

Nice. I think both Bill and Ken Hamilton have done this kind of work with great results.
