Chuck Most Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Shaping up killer! Haven't seen that Buick, but I do have the Maisto diecast '55 Buick police car kit which will eventually become a mild custom.
High octane Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Yeah, a tad big, but still useable Thanks! A little more tinkering with different rims, and a mockup with the trumpets poking thru the hood The more wheels I try, the more I keep leaning towards the Cragars I did first... I kinda like the set of wheels and tires you have in this pic and you keep postin' that Stude and I'm gonna have to start on mine! Your project is lookin' good so far.
jeffs396 Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 the injector stacks look cool i think that you should stay with the wider rear slicks on the back. they seem IMO to be proportionate to the stance and overall look of the car. Thanks Dave. I agree, the wide rear tires are staying, I tried a few narrower ones & just don't like the looks on this. Just have to settle on the right wheels. OK, Jeff, if we're voting, I go with your first set : Greg, I thought I'd love the spoke wheels up front as they looked great when I assembled the halves, but I'm just not feelin' it on the bulletnose, they'll be saved for another gasser Thanks again everyone for the positive comments, I'm hoping to see some new bulletnose Stude WIPs on here soon
Sully Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 (edited) Soon Jeff......soon Working on a pro street chassis right now. Purple Power doesn't touch this paint so I guess I'll have to go and get some real paint stripper............ Sully Edited July 24, 2011 by Sully
Ron a.k.a. Grouchy Pants Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Those stacks look killer. And im all about the latest set of rims you have on there, I like them alot more then the spokes, on this car that is, on another it might be a different story
