tabsscale1 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Looking for some 50's style spotlights. Is there any kit that has some in it? Wanting to do a car that Larry Watson painted and he added spolights to the car . So I am looking for some of those.
fumi Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) Lindberg's 1953 Ford Victoria has them, complete with handles. Edited July 20, 2011 by fumi
Steve D. Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Revell's "49" Mercury also had a set if I remember correctly .

MikeMc Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Why did they put these on their cars ? Few streetlights back in the day....and house numbers on the house....Most tow trucks I remember had at least 1
samdiego Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) Mostly it was just a look. They can be fun if you're 17, I had one on top of an ex Phone Co. '69 Dodge van. (Strange config, windows on the curb side, slab on the street). There were a few companies that made fake Appletons. It's almost hard to think of any AMT kits from the 60s or their re-releases that don't have a set. Edited July 20, 2011 by samdiego
SuperStockAndy Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Yup, Linberg's '53 Ford Victoria has a nice set.
