djway3474 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I just received a note from Tower Hobbies that the Bugaboo was cancelled. I also received a note that the TOS 1/350 Enterprise was cancelled and Round 2 says it was not. I am thinking Tower and round 2 may be having some kind of trouble?????
Darren B Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I do know that round 2 had postponed the bugaboo but havent heard anything about it not ever coming back to kit form. I hope it does been waiting on that one a while....
MikeMc Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) Well if you check the business pages...RC 2 was sold to a Japanese group as of May 2, 2011 http://www.rc2corp.com/ http://www.takaratom.../i110502_en.pdf Round 2 Models do not seem fazed by that as Auto World lists that as available..... http://round2models.com/models/polar-lights/starship-enterprise http://autoworldstor...ncc-1701-a.aspx SO I have no Idea..... Edited July 22, 2011 by MIKE THE MANIAC
ra7c7er Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) Sucks about the Bugaboo but I heard it was cancelled a while ago. Enterprise is NOT cancelled. Tower and R2 are having some issues over it. Edited July 22, 2011 by ra7c7er
darquewanderer Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Just got an update from RC2 last week on the TOS Enterprise. Still on schedule. The flyer sent me hints at a new shuttle Galileo too, but only hints... it is not stated.
djway3474 Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 I just received a reply from Round 2 that the Bugaboo has been cancelled. That is at least 3 kits recently cancelled. This has really messed up my orders I have placed with vendors. It has also forced me into deciding not to preorder kits anymore. When buying on line you need to group orders in a fashion to maximize value in shipping et cetera. I am having to cancell so many orders to avoid excessive fees that I won't be doing that again. If I am not the only one coming to this conclusion then overall preorders will drop do to the on and off nature of announcements. This can set up a spiral downward.
