Olle F Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I'm sure that many of you already know this, but for those of you who have been looking at Micro-Marks resharpened micro drill bits, there's an alternative: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=34640 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnumber=44924 I happened to find them in a Harbor Freight store, and they are quite a bit cheaper than Micro-Mark. They are easier to get too, if you have a store nearby. The shank is big enough to use without a hand chuck. This makes them much easier to use without breaking them, and it's pretty handy when you're drilling in those hard-to-reach areas too. The only bad thing is that you can't pick the sizes you want, but surely enough, you should be able to find what you need if you have 50 of them. 8)
Mr. Metallic Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 While these bits are nice, buyer beware while shopping, especialkly the grab bag. It is exactly what it says it is. Look inside the package to make sure you don't get an overabundance of repeats. i got 7 of the same size. It makes it hard to build a complete set, but the price is good. Just make sure to check the contents before you buy
