I know, I ask too many questions! But after having a look through the newest issue of the Frieghtliner DD, I kind of like the stripe decals. Were these copied from a factory paint scheme?? I have not found a 1:1 pic on line yet, has anyone else??

Thanks, Mark

The idea came from this photo found on Hank's Truck Pictures. You can see the photo under the model here ...

The photo was the inspiration for the stripes

that AMT used. Here's a box-stock version using the decals and the photo from Hank's as the inspiration.

Also, even if they look simple enough alone, the white, red and black stripes could be combined together to make an interesting paint scheme. I'm surprised that only one could actually look this good. I just love that Red White and Black together. Classic, no-nonsense, clean look.

Might have an extra set for sale cheap if I can't get this ###### cab seem to look right! I am usually ok with the body work, but this cab is just stupid!

Mark just glue putty then sand the ###### out of it then get the rivets from micro mark to replace all the ones you sand off thats what i did on mine :D larry

hmm...i'm guessing i'd need the "o" scale rivets? that's gotta be the most novel idea for producing rivets that I've ever seen! I need em too...I'm getting ready to sand away the rivet detail on my Freightliner at the cab joint...

Those are the ones I am going to order, and walk away for a little bit. I have a couple less troublesome trucks in the works.
