69A-CAR
I know, I ask too many questions! But after having a look through the newest issue of the Frieghtliner DD, I kind of like the stripe decals. Were these copied from a factory paint scheme?? I have not found a 1:1 pic on line yet, has anyone else?? Thanks, Mark
mackinac359
The idea came from this photo found on Hank's Truck Pictures. You can see the photo under the model here ... The photo was the inspiration for the stripes that AMT used. Here's a box-stock version using the decals and the photo from Hank's as the inspiration. 69A-CAR
Thank you Tim, I was trying to figure out how the red, black, and white stripes fit together! Mark
mackinac359
The black is an optional version. Tim
BigBad
Also, even if they look simple enough alone, the white, red and black stripes could be combined together to make an interesting paint scheme. I'm surprised that only one could actually look this good. I just love that Red White and Black together. Classic, no-nonsense, clean look. I need em too...I'm getting ready to sand away the rivet detail on my Freightliner at the cab joint... Gray
69A-CAR
Those are the ones I am going to order, and walk away for a little bit. I have a couple less troublesome trucks in the works. Mark
