first time hinger with ?'s

Hey guys I'm making hinges for the first time and I wasn't sure what size tube and rod to buy. Can you guys with this knowledge tell if I bought the right sizes?

Brass rod 3/64

Alum tube 3/32

How about the smaller the better? As long as the wire and tube can support the door I'd want the size that would keep it closest to scale.
