Foxer Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 how do you get the seems out of 2 piece parts, like fuel tanks and exhaust stacks? I've had good luck sanding them out. Sounds like you have it. Worst case you might need to add some body putty to smooth.
scummy Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 G,day , what i've got is very fine wet and dry , (automotive ) sandpaper thumbtacked to a peice of flat wood and lightly rub the peices so it shaves the joining parts dead flat . Then when the parts are joined there's very minimal join gap .
mackinac359 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I fill the seams with CA glue, hit it with some CA accelerator and then sand the sames away. Unfortunately, my spotters guide is gone. An entire portion of my website is gone after a server problem. Tim
mr cheap Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 for me 50% of the time ...the glue melts the plastic just a little bit .. hold pressior on the two 1/2 s .. and maybe just maybe the pastic will fill the gap ..but all most aways you have to to some trim sand paint
