Hey guys I'm trying to figure out what size brass tube I would use to fabricate a scratch roll cage and sandrail frame I tried to use scalebot but keep getting weird measurements. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just find out how large the full size tube is in inches. That number in millimeters is the size of the scale tube. If are modeling 1" tubing then get 1 mm brass tubing for the model. This works for both 1/24 and 1/25 because it equals a 1/24.5 scale.

FYI: 1" = 24.5mm on a ruler

The easiest way to figure out your measurements is multiply the size of your rod by twenty five. For instance, .060 X 25 = 1.5 inches, .080 x 25 = 2 inches.

Given that K&S brass tubing is sized in English measure, it's far easier to use .040" to equal one inch in 1/25 scale. From there, it's very simple arithmetic to come up with scale tubing sizes in that brand of metal tubing.
