Jon Cole Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 As the title says, any of the current new Camaro kits, are they of the concept car, or did AMT or Revell ever change the tooling to production car? I want to build a model for someone who owns a 2010 RS, and I just want the exterior to look right. Underhood not to important. What exactly are the differences? Since I took this pic, she has had the vinyl white stripes added. Thanks.
BKcustoms Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 as far as i know, the only difference between the concept and the production car exterior are the small marker lights in the rear bumper and on the v6 cars, there is no vent in the header panel in front of the hood.
Danno Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 as far as i know, the only difference between the concept and the production car exterior are the small marker lights in the rear bumper and on the v6 cars, there is no vent in the header panel in front of the hood. Placement of the fuel filler is different also. BTW ~~ Mark is right on. All currently available kits are based on the 2006 concept car. The upcoming Revell full detail SS kit is based on the production 2010 Camaro SS.
