I picked up the Iwata HP-CS set from Hobby Lobby, got everything set up and it all worked fine - until I hit the bleeder on the moisture trap. The trap is now leaking at the bleeder and I can get it to stop by pulling the bleeder down, but this is by no means a solution.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with this plastic monstrosity? Is there a fix? Buying another moisture trap at this time is out of the question as I don't want to be a divorcé.

Is it still under warranty?

If so, there's your answer.

I don't see a warranty written on the trap - is it 5 years for all of Iwata's products (except needles and the such)?

is this the moisture trap that you are referring to? post-3673-0-69484400-1312567621_thumb.gi

if so, the bleeder is nothing more than a schraeder valve (like an inner tube, tire, etc).

there is a possibility that it may be a little loose.

harbor freight has one that will work with iwata airbrushes. it is a little linger than the iwata one, but as a secondary solution, should work just fine.

otherwise, try to return it to hobby lobby or contact coastairbrush.com & they may be able to swap it out for you (don't quote me on that though).

i love the moisture trap just before the airbrush...it eliminates any traces of moisture just before the airbrush.
