hairy Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 need to get a lot of them the same length.. scratch building a late model dirt car frame..what is a good strong glue? using evergreen round rod..any tips would be great.. thanks hairy dirt is for racin, asphalt is how you get there.........
MonoPed Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 use the edge of a #11 blade to score a line in the end of the rod, then run a round or triangle needle file on that line.
935k3 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 The best styrene plastic glue around is Ambroid Proweld liquid glue. I also recommend a needle point applicator made by Flexifile company for more precise application on small areas and parts.
LDO Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 The best way? Use a mill. You can get them all the right length and make sure the angle is right on both ends.
bobss396 Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I have a scrap piece of aluminum bar stock around with some .093 and .080 holes in it. I cross cut a slot into the holes to guide my round file. It works pretty well if I don't misplace it, or turn it into a part or another tool.
ramonesblues Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 I put two fingers in it's gills and insert in the front teeth. Bass are best.
