whale392 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 The only real glaring thing I see is that the third brake light is painted over (in the center of the trunklid above/between the tail lights). overall, a good effort on this kit. Underhood detail could be refined a little, but that will come from getting to know the real cars components. Polish/wax will make the color stand out for sure. All in all, good build. (It helps that the GenIV Supra is one of my favorite import sport-luxury cars)
Scalper Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 looks great. some mild panel lines and some black wash on the rims will really make your nice paint job and clean build stand out.
n8dogginz Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 3rd brakelight im not putting the decal on until i polish/wax, underhood your right on that i just rushed a little...its the first kit i got really into since i was like 15...im now 26...im thinkin bout buyin another of these kits and doin it more patient...like a year dead line...
whale392 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 It's all good, glad to see you enjoying the hobby and liking your build. Patience is key to good building (good reference material helps too). Personal opinion here (so take it for what it is worth), I think you did a good job on this kit, and will only get better with every new build. Listen, learn, and apply what you gather and you will be amazed at how you will improve.
MyBradKeselowski Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I agree on the above about the detailing other than that it's a great looking build...
Steve Keck Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Better to apply the decal before waxing. It may not stick otherwise.
VW Dave Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I agree on the above about the detailing other than that it's a great looking build... Took the words right outta my mouse. I'm not a huge fan of tuner cars, but I do like a clean build regardless of the subject matter.
