MikeMc Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kitbash Leftover NASCAR chassis and interior with a 70 Mustang Body?? Shorten the wheelbase up front and narrow the track by using tires a bit narrower may still need a trim or two Pics coming next............
Jantrix Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I like this idea a lot. I used a Pontiac Nascar chassis under my Revell Monza Spyder body. This should be great.
MikeMc Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Did a bit of chassis work...took as much from the front as I could..I don't like the wheelwells..but I will finish them up and add a bit of a flare. the rear is pretty much set.A bit more work on the tires...they seem rough...The motor set back loks tight , but should work. I forgot how bad the fit was on the hood and fenders...I am thinking of adding a intercooled turbo but not too sure yet..still have oiling to work out and a few other bugs....
Nitrozilla Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I didn't know NASCAR had a Ride-Along program in the 70's. I'm kidding !! One of the coolest things I ever saw was a Nova funny car 2 seater that was completely street legal. I'm a basher too and I love the concept. Gonna be watching this. I'm psyched.
MikeMc Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 This is a "club" racer...built for the North Georgia Twistees near Blue Ridge...Something American to get out in front of all those Porsches. Street legal...barely
