sjordan2 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) We continue to have new members asking how to post photos to this forum. Somehow, the tutorial on this subject has grown to 4 pages and in my estimation has become needlessly complex. Can someone in admin go in and edit it and simplify it, and keep it pinned and locked? We don't need a ton of people adding their spin on it when it's so easy. If there are special questions, I would think these could be answered on an as-needed basis, and admin could adapt them to the pinned and locked thread if necessary, without allowing access to the thread by others. I think it just confuses people otherwise. Perhaps the pinned tutorial could add an FAQ for dealing with questions as they arise, which would have to be edited by admin. Also, this tutorial thread is way down in Tips, Tricks, etc., and I think a duplicate of it should be kept in General where newbies and others will discover it more easily. Harry P. Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I deleted all of the posts that had nothing to do with posting photos. But Clay's explanation, though well intended, is too complex. His explanation is harder than the actual process itself! Plus, since Clay did his tutorial, Photobucket has changed it's site and things there look (and work) a little differently. It's now actually much easier to upload photos from there to here. In fact, it's incredibly easy. A simple 3-4 step tutorial would cover it. I don't have time to do this, but if anyone out there can do a simple, straightforward, easy to understand, illustrated, foolproof step-by-step tutorial on how to post photos from Photobucket to here (and from Fotki to here), please go right ahead. If your tutorial is a good one, we'll put it here in the General section and pin it... and also pinned down in the Tips section.
