Tom Geiger Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Very cool project, MPC kits of the 1980s are mostly overlooked but actually were pretty well done! I'll have to go through my hoard and see if I have this kit. I kinda got a thing for Celicas myself.. My 1:1 1995 Celica GT Convertible. Sad to say this photo was taken on the beach at Union Beach, NJ. Most of the homes shown in the photo were swept away by Hurricane Sandy last week including the one with the whale on it. Celica is safe and sound!
brodie_83 Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 Thanks guys! Yeah, this kit has put up a huge fight, but I am confident that the worst is behind me *knock on wood*. Charlie, I'm really not sure what they are, but here's a pic just to show you some of them: I finished up the exhaust tonight and installed it (except for the exhaust tip, I'll have to get some epoxy or something for the metal tip). Looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I worked on the radiator a little tonight, and I tried to paint one of the fender flare trim pieces, but it's a lot harder than I anticipated. If anyone knows a really good way on how to mask those off, please let me know. They are being a PITA! Slowly but surely it will be done and before you know it, will be posted in the "Under Glass" section...finally. LoL but until then, thanks for watching the build and for all the wonderful comments!
Austin T Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 This one ever get finished? I can't seem to find the thread in under the glass.
