bsoder Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I think this would be a really cool project, although it might get a little pricey, I'm not sure how much the Moebius kit will go for around 100$ maybe..it would be a fair amount of work, but that's half the fun! wasn't too sure how I felt about this new design but it's kinda grown on me
highway Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Your not the only one thinking of building that Brian, I've already got pics saved of two or three Lonestar wreckers!
Guest Markus355 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Whoa. Looks great. the obvious choice (to me anyways) for the wrecker body would be ROG's w900 KW wrecker. Just wondering how tricky it would be to graft the lonstar cab to the KW frame.... or the KW's body to the lonestar frame.
BigBad Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) If you go to the "basketsbythebrowns" (TMC Main) site on the august gallery, you will find an awsome Lonestar with the Revell Can-do wrecker body. That is one nice piece! Edited August 22, 2011 by Z06Bob
Guest Markus355 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 just checked that gallery out. that truck is gorgeous. The lonestar was BORN tgo be a wrecker

BigBad Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Thanks Tim...man that is a beauty, now I really wanta do it Hhaha, told you it was awesome! By the way, that's a nice Road Runner you have as an avatar. Model or driver? It's kinda blured so I can't tell.
jeffs396 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Ya know, I've really never been interested in the new Lonestar kit (because I can't get past those ugly factory headlights ), but the pic of the 1:1 wrecker may have changed my mind! Kinda reminds me of a 359 Peterbilt I like the headlight treatment on it, would be easily done I think...not knowing anything about these new Internationals, is that what would come on a "base" truck, with the covered headlights on the more "deluxe" trucks???

Actually Jeff, the tow truck you see at the top with 2 headlights is the "Harley Davidson" edition, so that is sort of the range topper. The ones with 4 covered headlights are the regular Lonestars, if there is such a thing...
BigBad Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Thanks man...model here's a pic Brian, I am usually a GM fan, but this year Road Runner is one of the better looking Mopars along with the 'Cudas in my opinion. I like this one, good color, split front chin airdam, stock rally wheels... Real nice! Now get on with that Lonestar wrecker!
BigBad Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Hmmmm, while the Lonestar is a great truck and also a great kit, also areally interesting subjsct in this case, I can't wait till a Prostar front end is produced... Or the whole truck kit for that matter!
