bandit1 Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 if i may butt in here i think tim said it was just a "Glorified" 359 kit! correct me tim if im wrong but i remember someone saying that!
mackinac359 Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Yup, it's a great 359 but a lousy 353. Build it as a 359. Tim
bandit1 Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Thanks Tim and Sean, that just what I'll do, a nice 359. This kit must be based on the original Black Magic Pete. Which was one truck I would have bought when I finished my first Revell Kenworth. But never got to it, so there I go! I'm a pretty happy camper! This one is going to have Mr. Winslow's stripes similar to Peterbilt corporate poster trucks. Have to decide on the body color. Another interesting item in that kit, along with the otehr options, there is a winter grill cover. That is one part that probably will be used later on an other 1:25 scale Pete. I love options! Thanks guys! Thanks Tim and Sean, that just what I'll do, a nice 359. This kit must be based on the original Black Magic Pete. mackinac359 Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 All of the Revell of Germany Peterbilt 359 kits are based on the original Revell of Los Angeles,CA Black Magic kit. SpreadAxle Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I've noticed that with all the Pete kits from Revell AG, no matter how it's meant to be built on the box, you get a complete 359 kit with the sleeper and all. The Bill Signs kit even has the sleeper, and the regular frame and all parts included. I agree with the others, build it as a 359. Looking forward to some pix.
Kostas Parchas Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I haven't this kit but right now I am rebuilding the RoG 359 KIT which was in combo with the car hauler. It is really a nice kit and as Tim dose, you can modify it in many ways to have a nice result. take a look here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26447 Kostas.
