mr cheap Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) i picked up a realy nice kit at a fea market a ....amt mack R685ST kit #535 (1970s) realy realy cheap ...10 years ago i tore both rotator cuffs and deslocated my right shoulder it wil not stay in .. pain X5..i kept all my gear ..im trying to get going agine ..i just biult a fire bird ,,i know im rustly but thats a ugly biuld .. can i do this kit justice...i dont know if i can look at it if its bad day after day ... its to nice to mess up..... jr .. Jim B Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I wouldn't eactly say the Mack R685ST is a particularly difficult kit to build, but it is your typical AMT kit - things sometimes just don't quite fit. The frame on mine has a slight pull to the right, and the Camelback suspension parts were a little finiky; but it came out ok in the end. Take your time, tripple check the fit; and you should be ok.
