Jim B Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Does anyone have any pics of the frame warning labels (if any) that are on the International LoneStar? From the pics I've managed to find, they don't seem to have frame warning labels like PACCAR.
Dave Metzner Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) This is a truck we photographed in December 0f 09 The Blue truck, below was shot in July of 09 May be other warning labels this is the one I found in my photos Dave Edited September 15, 2011 by Dave Metzner
Jim B Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Just that one little label? Interesting. Remember what it was for? If I might make a small suggestion? On the next run of the decal sheet, if you could include a small "Interantional" logo for the glove box that would be great.
scale trucker Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 i dont have a pic but there is a decal on the frame in the front,,both sides one for the fan, wheel torque, and a lube decal..
Chris guthro Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 on the prostar my dad drives, the only label is at the very back which says ''do not weld any flanges or brackets to the frame'' or something like that
Dave Metzner Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) If you'll click on the top photo it ought to come up in a larger size and the label is readable.. It says "DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN OR WELD TO FRAME FLANGES" I'm no expert on big trucks but I think that this kind of warning appears somewhere on the frame of every big truck - Messing with the flanges of the frames on these vehicles is pretty much a No-No as the flages provide alot of the stiffness of the frame members Ive scoured my photos of the two trucks I shot and find no other labels on the frame. There are coolant spec labels and a fan warning label on the right side of the radiator of the Blue truck, They are NOT on the second truck I photographed - Another label that I see is a NO STEP on the tops of the fender parts which are attached to the frame - I think that these are some sort of plastic or fiberglass and I'm sure they will not take kindly to someone standing on them! Turbo590 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Jim.... If I can get off of my rear end...and finish on what I started, several months ago...I will have an available chassis and engine decal kit, for the Lonestar...just like the others I have done in the past....just need to get past the model building "blah's" It will be available here hopefully soon....Kurt
Jim B Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Great news, Kurt! Let us know when it's ready; I'll definately take one. And as it's just turned too cold here in CNY to paint in the garage I probably won't need it until Spring! See you at Fulton? Edited September 16, 2011 by Jim B
