peekay Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I've searched high and low and found zilch..... ....who makes a sheet of under-hood decals (like warnings, oil filter etc?) Also a selection of (generic) dashboard decals would be useful. So many of my kits don't have this stuff.
bigphoto Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It would depend on what you were looking for as some of the old Fred Cady sets had some.
sjordan2 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) You can get generic gauge decals here. There used to be a wider variety at other sites that seem to have disappeared. http://www.ecsvr.com....asp?Search=Yes http://www.stradaspo...ch_field=gauges http://modelcargarage.com/store/pc/viewcategories.asp?idCategory=20&pageStyle=P Edited September 26, 2011 by sjordan2
Craig Irwin Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Some military decal sets have small labels that look good as underhood stickers. Be sure to use ones that are too small to read.
Craig Irwin Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 And I should add, some model railroad stuff works for this too.
peekay Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks for your suggestions guys. I have ModelCarGarage gauges but found them too difficult to cut out nicely. Maybe I'll have another go with a punch. Some military decal sets have small labels that look good as underhood stickers. Be sure to use ones that are too small to read. This is more or less what I've been doing for years, chopping up left over decals from car kits. It works fairly well - just don't look too close!
